Fixing a failed payment

What to do if a payment is declined and how to get your account current.

Sometimes a monthly charge doesn't go through — usually because a card expired, was replaced, or was temporarily declined by the bank. It's easy to fix.

How you'll know

If a payment fails, you'll see a "Your payment failed to process" notice on your Account page asking you to update your card, along with the reason the bank gave.

Get your account current

  1. Click Account in the top navigation.
  2. In the Payment Method section, enter a working card under Update Credit Card Details.
  3. Click Update.

Once a valid card is on file, billing resumes and the notice clears. Updating your card to fix a failed payment doesn't change your price — your monthly rate stays the same.

Tip: Not sure why it was declined? Check that the card hasn't expired and has funds available, or try a different card. Still stuck? Email support — never include full card details in an email.
